International Dog Day: Bark & Brunch

Join us in the ultimutt International Dog Day celebration at BSP’s Bark & Brunch! Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 26th, from 9 – 11AM for a tail-wagging good time. We will have a lineup of doggy delights from dog-centric organizations that are all about keeping your furry companions safe and pampered:

  • Atta Boy! Animal Care – Atta Boy! Animal Care will be providing pet safety coloring sheets for children and fun activities for your pups. Atta Boy! Animal Care provides professional pet care services such as pet sitting, dog walking, dog hiking adventures, and at Home Veterinary Technician Care.
  • Doggie Bag Boutique – Doggie Bag Boutique will be providing some giveaways for doggies and selling a selection of toys, chews, and treats that are sure to make tails wag. The Doggie Bag, located in Lakeland, has been specializing in top quality pet products, most of which are USA Made, since 2002.
  • Laker’s Barkery – Laker’s Barkery will have be selling an assortment of pup-tastic items such as leashes, collars, bandanas, bow ties for dogs, dog toys, and homemade dog treats.
  • Paws For Friendship – It is an opportunity to pet and cuddle with the animals. Paws for Friendship is a Therapy Pet Organization that focuses their visits to nursing home, hospitals, schools, etc. across the nation.  Attendees will be able to spend some time with these therapy pets and their owners.
  • Privileged Critters – Privileged Critters will be offering interactions with Veterinarians and Technicians regarding services provided and advising on any health concerns for pets. Located in Lakeland, Privileged Critters is a full service animal hospital, dedicated to providing excellent care for your pet.
  • SARC – Florida State Animal Response Coalition (SARC) is dedicated to disaster mitigation, preparation, response, and recovery for emergencies involving companion animals. Representative will be present to talk about training, disaster response, personal preparedness and providing give-away items that can help keep your pet safe.

Looking to give a puppy a new home? SPCA Florida will be offering pet adoptions throughout the event!

But that’s not all! Delicious brunch items will be available for sale on-site and our coffee shop will be selling coffee and light-breakfast items. Check out the yummy brunch offerings from Our Noire Kitchen:

  • Orange Blossom French Toast with a drizzle of Grand Mariner maple syrup
  • Chorizo Hash with a chipotle mayo drizzle
  • Jerk Colossal Shrimp and Gouda Grits with a tomato compote
  • Coffee-rubbed Steak with breakfast potatoes, a sunny-side up egg and chimichurri sauce
