"Being retired and volunteering at BSP is a perfect combination. I cannot tell you how many times guests have thanked me for volunteering or for sharing the information I provided them. It makes me feel good to know that my efforts are appreciated and that I am giving back to the community."

"I love volunteering at BSP. I enjoy seeing kids’ eyes grow wide at the Nature Center beehive, and I am thrilled to explain how a caterpillar can go to sleep for a few weeks, and when they wake up, they can fly! I love hearing about all the far-flung places visitors are from, and I enjoy the staff and other volunteers who share my love of this wonderful gift to our community. Surely there is a place in everyone's life for the shared experiences that volunteering at Bonnet Springs provides... Where the experiences never stop and the smiles are free!"

"Being a Science teacher, I spend most of my volunteer hours in Zoey's Butterfly House. I recently started a butterfly garden at our school, and volunteering at Bonnet Spring has helped me learn more about the variety of butterflies and the plants they need to thrive. I have also used the knowledge I have learned to share with my students how important it is to learn about our environment so that we can protect it as much as possible. Being a Bonnet Springs volunteer has enriched both my own life and those with whom I interact on a daily basis."
